Cross Country is held from April - August each season as part of your season membership. It is a fantastic sport and we encourage all our members from U6 – U17 to participate whatever their ability.
Overview
Apart from the obvious fun of running “off road” in varied conditions, the kids love the team atmosphere, the fitness and cross training for other sports, the sausages, the shorter competition and of course the awards days, and individual and team medals up for grabs throughout the season!

All athletes run in their LAVIC designated age group and no “running up/down” is permitted. If you have any questions, email [email protected]
Training
Box Hill LAC offers training for registered athletes on Wednesdays at 4.30pm with BHLAC Coach Matthew Seddon who is an experienced XC coach and senior Box Hill Athlete himself. Matthew will teach skills such as pacing & XC running technique, as well as general conditioning / fitness / strength, and event specific coaching that compliments our season calendar. The training squad trains at the Box Hill track, at 4.30pm on Wednesdays for around an hour.
