Important Update from LAVIC

Dear Parents,

Please read this very important update from LAVic regarding individual vaccination status for Little Athletics.

For Victorian Centres:
Following on from LAVic’s message of Thursday 21st October (‘Season 21/22 and vaccinations’) the Victorian State Government’s Department of Health & Human Services has advised of changes to application of the vaccination directions to community sport, and in turn to Little Athletics.

Effective immediately, the vaccination status of our volunteers – parents/guardians, officials, coaches, Committee members, Associate Members, Honorary Members and others necessary to conduct our sport – is not required to be checked or recorded if they are attending for Little Athletics activities.

In practical terms, parents/guardians and all volunteers – vaccinated and unvaccinated – can attend Little Athletics activities without having to confirm their vaccination status.

The Vaccination FAQs on the LAVic website and the LAVic membership registration portal are currently being revised and updated to align with these changes.

In the light of the changes, LAVic will be reaching out to those Members that have requested a refund on vaccination grounds, to confirm their membership intentions.
