Congratulations to all our BHLAC athletes that competed at the State Relay Championships on Saturday at Lakeside. It was a fantastic way to end the Relay program for the season. It seems like ages since we held the Box Hill Relay Day back in November but what that has allowed our teams to do is spend more time together practising and improving as a team.
BHLAC had over 25 teams competing on Saturday and we had a number of teams place and win their finals. Congratulations to everyone that took part in the relay program this season. For the ones that didn't participate in the program this year, we hope the fun and enjoyment displayed this season gives you some encouragement to participate next season.
We are back at the track this Sunday for the third last Sunday Program of the season. Please check the season calendar later in the blog for the remaining weeks of competition.

2022/23 Season Calendar
With only 3 program weeks to go in the season it is important for all families to take note of the dates that we are at the track and weekends that we are not. Here is a list of the remaining weeks. NO LITTLE ATHS Next to the Day/Date means that we DO NOT HAVE a regular Little Aths program this weekend

Sunday 26th February - Program C
Sunday 5th March - Program A - Final Program for season

Sunday 2nd April - End of Season Awards, Break up & AGM
Parent Duty - Sign Up Program
Last week we communicated to all families the number of parent duties each family had completed so far this season. Since then we have received a number of emails from families wishing to clarify the number of duties they may have been credited for so far. It is almost impossible to have complete accuracy with this report. For a number of reasons. For example, parents quite often sign up with different names. Sometimes family names are used. Other times maiden names may be. Often parents use their Christian name with no surname.
This does make it difficult to collate accurate data as we do not have all the extra family information. It would be greatly appreciated if all families use the same name to sign up to parent duties and use their christian and surnames in the future.
We would also ask you to make sure that you check in at the start of the program with the welcomer when completing a duty. If you sign up for a parent duty in the week but do not check in at the program, we assume you have not turned up and subsequently will be marked as a 'no show' for that duty.
With 3 program weeks to go there is still plenty of time for parents to complete the minimum of 6 duties for their children to be eligible for an end of season award.

Come join us on the Committee
With the success of BHLAC this season and the increase in families this year we are looking for parents to come and join us on the committee. We are fortunate at BHLAC to have had a strong committee over many years but as athletes end their time in Little Aths so do their parents. If you have athletes at the club, we would love your support on the committee to help continue the legacy of a strong club, culture and program for the future. We have a wide range of roles that need filling. Please contact our Club President Dean Williams on 0417346382 if you would like to know more about what is involved.
Communication at BHLAC
Communication at BHLAC is a key pillar to our success as a centre.
TeamApp by Stack Sports is the most effective communication tool we use. By using TeamApp we can instantaneously send messages to all members via their smart phone. Additional to this an email also gets pushed simultaneously. Whether it is a weather update or the weekly blog, it is the fastest way to get information to you. Simply download TeamApp on the App Store or Google Play. Search for 'Box Hill Little Aths' and select the general member page.
Facebook, Instagram and our BHLAC Website will also give you all the information you need through the season.
Your feedback matters
Now that we are approaching the back part of the season, it gives us all a chance to review and think about what we have thought of the season at BHLAC. We are extremely motivated to improve the experience for not only the athletes but also for parents.
We would love to hear from you so please feel free to share your thoughts with our club President Dean Williams on 0417346382 or at president@boxhillLAC.com.au
See you at the track!
