This week at BHLAC - 28th Nov 2021

It was another brilliant day today at BHLAC. It was an action packed program with the Circular Program taking over the day. 300 & 200m hurdles followed by 1,100m & 1,500m events tested the kids in the warm sunny weather but all ran well and set themselves a benchmark to work on for the rest of the season. 

It has been a great start this year at Hagenauer Reserve. With music in the background and a little bit of commentary, has definitely added to the atmosphere during the program. We will achieve a significant milestone this week at BHLAC with our membership numbers exceeding last years membership total. In fact it will be the first time we have increased on the year before in 5 years so it is fantastic to see so many people (new & old) embracing the BHLAC Sunday program. 

Next week we return to Program A and primarily sprints. We would encourage parents to sign up early for a duty and also remind you all that parent duty is not only essential to the successful running of the program but also a requirement for your children to be eligible for an end of season award.

​As we edge closer to the end of the year and the Christmas break we will see less families at the track. It is really important to secure parent support early this week so as we have an efficient program on Sunday. Please click the link to signup to this weeks duty roster.

We still have plenty of Athletics left this season. With 3 more program meets this year and another 6 after the New Year's break, there is still plenty of time to become a member of BHLAC. Tell your friends and family that BHLAC is the place to come for all your Little Aths needs. 2022 LAVic State Combined Championships

The 2022 LAVic State Combined Event Championships are being held on January 29 & 30 at the State Athletics Centre - Lakeside - Albert Park. Open to Ages U9 to U16. Entries will be limited and the portal to enter opens tomorrow. Click on the link below to head to the LAVic entry portal

Mid-week training at BHLAC

Mid week training is offered to all BHLAC members. It is held on Wednesday afternoons between 4:30 & 5:30pm. To assist our Head Coach Steve Cain with his planning, we ask all parents to register their children for each weekly session by Midday on the day. BHLAC is very fortunate this year to have highly decorated coach Steve Cain and his team assist our club with coaching this season.

Whilst Steve runs our weekly training program each Wednesday afternoon during the season for members, he also provides a range of programs throughout the week that may be perfect for your little athletes that are looking for that bit extra.
