Week 4 was definitely not what we had hoped for. Finally the poor weather caught up with us and we had to cancel our Friday night twilight event.
Whilst we ended up having a weekend off with our normal program, it didn't mean our BHLAC athletes were void of athletics.
We had a significant number of BHLAC athletes compete at the Athletics Victoria All Schools Championships. This is a significant event on the AV calendar. Congratulations to everyone that competed on the weekend and good luck to everyone competing this weekend at week 2 of the All Schools Championships at Lakeside.
This week coming is going to be busy. With only a few weeks to go until the Box Hill Relay Day we are looking to finalise teams for not only this event but also for the EMR Relay Championships in December. Please chat to your Age Group Manager's if you would like to make a team. We would also like to thank and introduce Karen Choong who has gladly accepted the role of BHLAC Team Manager. We are also looking for another parent that would be interested in supporting Karen so if you would like to assist with this role, please let our Committee know.
We will be introducing some training as part of the mid week training from next week onwards so please look out for more info over the coming week.

BOX HILL RELAY DAY 2022
We are extremely fortunate to have two of our most popular Australian Athletes come and visit us at the Box Hill Relay Day. Our very own Box Hill star Georgia Griffith and a regular visitor to Hagenauer Reserve the great Stewart McSweyn.
Come and meet them both at the Box Hill Relay Day on Sunday November 2o.
If you haven't spoken to your Age Group Manager yet please do so over the coming week as we must have all our teams secured by early next week.
This is BHLAC's major fund raising event of the season and the highlight for most on the LAVic season calendar.
Your Age Group Managers will be able to assist you with any queries or alternatively email us at BHLACompetition@gmail.com
Training at BHLAC - This Wednesday
As mentioned previously, it is important to plan for coaches for Wednesday's BHLAC training session. If you have any questions or specific training requests please talk to our Head Coach Steve Cain at the start of the session.
Whilst the session is an open session to all athletes, we do try and accommodate requests as best we can.
Training for relay events will commence at next weeks training session.

Uniform at BHLAC
All financial members of the Centre are required to purchase and wear the official BHLAC uniform. This is available as a singlet, crop top or t-shirt. Our Uniform manager Rosa Deol will be able to assist on meet days with orders.
We also offer a range of other merchandise. Caps, Hoodies, Jackets and Beanies just to name a few. The hoodies have been a big seller over winter as you can order your name on the back.
Communication at BHLAC
Communication at BHLAC is a key pillar to our success as a centre.
TeamApp by Stack Sports is the most effective communication tool we use. By using TeamApp we can instantaneously send messages to all members via their smart phone. Additional to this an email also gets pushed simultaneously. Whether it is a weather update or the weekly blog, it is the fastest way to get information to you. Simply download TeamApp on the App Store or Google Play. Search for 'Box Hill Little Aths' and select the general member page.
Facebook, Instagram and our BHLAC Website will also give you all the information you need through the season.
Your feedback matters
Thank you to all the parents that have had such kind words to say about their experience at BHLAC so far. With such a big program and lots more athletes each week, we are still working through and finalising ways in which we can make the experience better for all our families.
What is important though is that we hear from you. The good, the not so good and most of all what you think we could do to improve our program.
We would love to hear from you so please feel free to share your thoughts with our club President Dean Williams on 0417346382 or at president@boxhillLAC.com.au
See you at the track!
